A: got mine at ebay for 299 with fm digi control. its huge i like it. but compare to 4.6 rtr savage because it has 2 speed and power starter……..things i need to buy again. and by the way customer support is the best. that guy nick of redcat is nice. the english of the manual is so hard to understand…..hahaha. made in china i suppose. so in the end there is somebody you can chat with and help you tune it. the engine is strong, very loud, easy access, its not as fast as my sons 3.3 traxxas 4tec but its fast enough at single speed.

I will be buying a truck soon and I like both body styles,which is better,and what year model is better.I don’t mind buying a good used truck.It has to be a chevy,my husband doesn’t like ford,and the vehicle I have now is a pontiac and we’ve had nothing but trouble and problems,and I don’t want another pontiac.
A: Well both are better but the choice varies on preference. If you are interested in having more safety features and rough and tough attitude of trucks Colorado is always a better choice. At the same time if you are looking at fuel efficiency and a classy touched expensive stuff you should select the Avalanche. Choice is yours, preference of yours, All the best.
Q: Help me convert my 1990 Jeep Cherokee to a truck bed like the Chevy Avalanche.?
I rolled my 1990 Jeep Cherokee and mashed the rear, (my roll cage and roof rack saved the front and engine. So I’ve decided to convert the trunk space into a semi-truck bed just like the Chevy Avalanche. I’ve seen other XJ’s like this where they cut out the windows and turn the trunk into half cargo – truck bed and half open. I need suggestions. I want to put a window in the back…
A: Its alot of work but the best way is to cut the roof where you want the rear of the roof to stop then get a jeep pickup cab and cut the back of the cab off and weld it in place. It’s harder than it sound’s and requires some fabrication but if you can weld you can do it.

A: There is an inline filter somewhere along the frame rails. It is usually pretty shiney may look like unbrushed stainless steel.

Q: I have a truck avalanche so the passenger window does not get down any more 2003%250D%250A?
the windows are electronics just the passenger window does not work, my questions if anybody knows if I need to replace the whole set of controls for one window that does not work or maybe its a fuse? thanks

I went from a little ford escort sport to a pontiac aztek,and now I have decided I want a truck,the avalanche reminds me of the aztek and I like the look and how they handl,are they good vehicles and what should I watch out for ?
A: In terms of powertrain and reliability, it’s just as good as any other GM pickup truck. In other words, best in the industry.
However, the question is, why buy that vs a Silverado?
It tows fine and and handles well for a truck. It’s more or less a Silverado with interesting styling and less engine choices.
Modern ones (2007+up) are great but I know the older models had issues with the plastic cladding, but the dealer offers solutions to those problems (mostly haziness on the plastics).
It has that whole Truck/SUV in one package deal/gimmick. In my experience, none of my friends or relatives who own an Avalanche really use that feature.
I would buy one for the styling because I’m a fan of it.

I have a 2004 avalanche truck, and it has always had problems with the 4 wheel drive buttons. Sometimes when I turn the truck on it is in 4 wheel drive for no reason.
It is an automatic truck, with the buttons on the left side of the steering wheel.
We have tried to fix it by disconnecting the battery, taking out the fuses for the 4 wheel drive and putting it back in.
But we can’t figure out what is wrong.
If anyone knows what to do or how to fix this problem, please let me know as soon a possible.
I’m trying to get it into 2 wheel drive from low 4 wheel drive.
I appreciate any help I can get.
A: the transfer case is bound up. put it in reverse, back it until it releases. It may take 20 feet or half a mile or something in between.
this happens frequently when 4×4 vehicles are driven on dry pavement. this can damage the transfer case.
give me the make ,model etc. and i will give more complete instructions.

A: Try putting the vehicle in neutral then pressing the 2 wheel button.
Q: I need some suggestions. I want a Diesel Engine but absolutely love my truck which is a 2005 Chevy Avalanche?
It has a 5.3l V-8. I was thinking this because i drove my dads truck which is a 2008 Chevy Silverado 2005 with the Durmax and Allison. Money is not a problem I just need to know the draw backs and cost and what needs replaced.
