Q: 2010 GMC Sierra 1500 or Chevy Silverado 1500?
I know there the same basic stuff, but what are some of the differences that are good or bad. I would like to get a side by side comparison.

Thank You

A: The basic trucks are identical. The only difference is the grill and exterior and interior trim packages. So when it comes down to it which do you like the looks of best……….md

Q: 2010 Chevy Silverado: 3.08 vs. 3.42 gear ratio?
I’m on Chevy’s website building a Silverado 1500 Crew Cab, and I’m confused about what these gear ratios mean to a layman such as myself. I have selected the 5.3L V8 w/6-speed automatic transmission, and I can choose between the 3.08 or 3.42 gear ratios.

I drive on pavement 95% of the time, and I only take the boat out twice a month tops (about a five mile trip from the house). I am looking for acceleration more than top speed. What can I expect as far as acceleration, top speed, gas mileage, etc. from each of these two gear ratios?

A: The 3.08 gear ratio means the drive shaft will rotate 3.08 revolutions to 1 rotation of the rear tire. Thus, the 3.08 will have lower rpms at highway speeds, but not as much torque for towing. The 3.42 will tow easier, but get lower mileage as your engine will have higher rpms at the same speed.
If a boat is all your towing, and at only 5 miles, I would get the 3.08.
If acceleration is important, the 3.42.

Q: Can this truck pull a small fifth wheel camper?
It’s a 2009/2010 Chevy Silverado 1500 Half-Ton Crew Cab LTZ. I know I would need a sliding hitch but is the truck strong enough to pull it? Thanks!!!

A: Depends how much the small 5th wheel camper weighs.

A: The 2010 Chevrolet Silverado gets segment leading 22 mpg highway in not only the Hybrid models but also the XFE as well. The regular model gets 20 mpg highway. This vehicle can also tow up to 10,700 pounds with a ball hitch and 10,200 pounds with a goose neck 5th wheel. Also the Regular Cab model also gets 5 star frontal crash test ratings. Whether you’re traveling with your horses or going out for a night on the town this truck would work for you. I hope this information helps you. If you need anymore information on the vehicle or any of our vehicles you can contact me through this profile.

Q: will car dealerships discount on repeat purchases?
I bought a 2007 chevy silverado 1500 ext cab about 3 years ago and want to buy the new camaro when it is available. Do you think the dealership will give me a discount or something along those lines if i do buy the 2010 camaro?

A: sometimes they will. I’d say the chances are good in today economy to get a great deal on a new car! Check around and see what the competition is selling them for then challenge the dealership to beat or meet the price

Q: Survey – Chevy vs. Ford.?
2010 F-150 or 2010 Silverado 1500
1967 F-100 or 1967 C-10
1967 Mustang or 1967 Camaro
2010 Mustang GT or 2010 Camaro SS

A: You also should compare car insurance quotes for cars before buying one, for example here – carinsurance.deep-ice.com

Q: I’m paying $6,000 over the sticker price on the 2010 camero i think i am getting ripped off what do I do?
When you go to car dealerships you are flooded with emotion and it is very easy to get caught up in that. First of all when I called the dealership to see if they had any camaro in stock they told me no but that they would have one in about three weeks and that it was up for grabs. After calling 22 different dealerships this was the best news I had heard all day. We drove 120 miles to the dealership and met with the salesman right away they were talking about how trustworthey they were and how awful other dealers are. They made us feel like we got there in the nick of time and that we were very privileged to be getting this car. We took our chevy silverado 2006 in great condition and they offered us 1500 for our trade (we spent $38,000 on it only two years prior). We talked them up to $17,500 which made us feel relif and accomplishment.

After beleiving that we would have the car in three weeks and that we were getting a better trade on our truck we thought that the mark up was a necessary “premium.” Let me also say that we are two women. Now that we have signed the papers we have been reading a lot into the car and feel like we were lied to and pretty much screwed.

On top of everything they required a two-thousand dollar deposit.

Finally the kicker– After signing the papers he went on to tell us that we shouldnt expect the car for 6 to 8 weeks apposed to the 3 weeks that he has said earlier to get us in the door.

Is there anything we can do to get out of the contract without losing the deposit? Did we really get screwed? Can they even have a camaro orded and change the trim and options?
We have already signed the papers and put down $2000 dollars

Also it is the 2LT not even the 2SS
Sorry they offered $15,000 for our trade OOPS…

A: The paper you signed was NOT a contract. A dealer cannot sell a car until it’s invoiced to them. And that doesn’t happen until the car arrives at its local distribution point, after it’s been built! No matter if the dealer calls the form you signed an order form, it is NOT a legal contract. You are not obligated to buy the car once it arrives at the dealer.

And unless the dealer gave you a check for your truck, and you cashed it, you are not obligated to give it to them. So your $2000 deposit is fully refundable. If you get any grief from them, tell them they have 48 hours to get a check to you or you will contact the attorney general of their county or city.

You didn’t sign a legal, binding contract since the car has not been invoiced to the dealer. It hasn’t even been built yet. No purchase transaction can occur until the dealer has the legal paperwork, the actual invoice. Because you did not sign a purchase contract, your $2000 deposit is fully refundable.
