Q: WHATS THE BIGGEST RIM I CAN FIT IN A 2002 CHEVY SILVERADO 1500 LT?
I WANT TO PUT RIMS ON MY 02 SILVERADO. ITS NOT LIFTED OR ANYTHING. WHATS THE BIGGEST I CAN DO?
A: On the 2002 silverado 1500 LT you can install 20 inch rims with the correct low profile tire.Best of luck.
Q: 2008 Ford F150 FX2 or 2008 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT?
Right now there good deals on trucks in my area. I can get a 2008 Silverado LT (5.3L V8) for about $20k. It has better gas mileage, and better overall ratings from some reviews I’ve read. I would most likely have to pay for upgrades such as the bedliner, sidesteps, and rear sliding window. There is also a good deal on the Ford F150 FX2 (5.3L V8) for $20k. I liked the feel of it when I drove it, and it already comes with upgraded upholstery, bedliner, sidesteps, and rear sliding window.
I would appreciate any information or input. Such as, which do you prefer, which is more reliable, etc. The vehicle I’m using right now is a 2000 Honda CR-V and I’ve never had any problems with it. I really value the reliability. I’m looking for that same reliability from the truck I purchase.
A: I’ve owned of the ford f-150 and the silverado 1500’s
My business used these half ton pickups on a daily basis. What i found was the Silverado’s were less costly when it came to maintenance and operation.
So much money difference in the operation, repair and maintenance that i removed the fords from my fleet of 7 trucks entirely.
The silverado is great truck especially with that 5.3L engine. When i sold my business last year I had 3 2000 silverados in the fleet all with upwards of 253,000 miles on each.
Just before i sold them I had compression tests run on all the fleet and my 2000 silverados with that 5.3L engine all tested very strong and was told that i should be able to get another 150,000 miles on them before an overhaul was needed. Getting 400,000 miles on a half ton pickup is great especially with no major repair costs.
If it were me I’d do the Silverado 1/2 ton with the 5.3L engine over the ford.
I have mine in the drive way right now. I love it.
Q: how many miles per gallon does a 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500 gets?
My future truck will be a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT ext. cab with a 5.3L V8. They say it will get 16 mpg in the city and 20 in the highway. If anyone who owns this kind of truck, please tell me what you get on yours. Thanks!
A: I know people have been able to get better than 20 with them on the highway. It all depends on what rear end ratio you have though. If it’s one that had been ordered with a rear end for towing, you won’t get very good milage, or at least probably never better than 18, which still isn’t bad for a full sized pickup.
Q: Can i replace the standard A/C controls for the digital display in a 2004 chevy silverado 1500?
The standard A/C controls have the two sliding controls (right/driver, left/passenger) and are less appealing to me than the digital display that comes in the LT trims of the truck. I dont even know what the digital display is called. Any replies are appreciated! Thanks.
A: My first response would be no as one is obviously different than the other. However, GM uses similar wiring harnesses for every truck and tapes up and leaves unconnected the ones it does not need for the different options. So to check, get the wiring diagrams for each version and compare them to each other to see if they differ. If not, knock yourself out. If they differ, disassemble and look for further connections in the area. I suspect there would be some kind of a digital protection device also.
Q: What will ppl think about my Chevy Silverado?
Pretty soon Im going to buy me a 1999-2002 Chevy Silverado 1500 Extended cab LT with Light Pewter metallic exterior and medium gray leather interior. Its going to be a 2WD not 4WD. And I was thinking to put body colored fender flares and “Z71 Off Road” decals on it? Also I’m going to keep the stock rims but fit it with big All-Terrain tires. What will ppl think of my truck. I mean it has z71 features but its a 2WD..lol..
A: Who cares what people think! your doing this for your self.
Q: What is the difference between an LS trim and an LT trim in the Chevy Silverado?
I just bought a 2005 1500, ext cab, with LS trim? What is the difference between LS and LT trim? What does the LS abbreviation stand for? What does the LS abbreviation stand for? Thanks….
A: In 2005 you had a few designations w/t for worktruck. LS for a nice equipped truck with power windows and locks and LT with leather seats and a power seat. The default seat on the LT was a bucket front seat with a console and heated seats with memory. I have never found out the origin of LS and LT as far as what they mean its probably a hold out for an option code like Z71 its just a order number.

A: The 2010 Chevrolet Silverado gets segment leading 22 mpg highway in not only the Hybrid models but also the XFE as well. The regular model gets 20 mpg highway. This vehicle can also tow up to 10,700 pounds with a ball hitch and 10,200 pounds with a goose neck 5th wheel. Also the Regular Cab model also gets 5 star frontal crash test ratings. Whether you’re traveling with your horses or going out for a night on the town this truck would work for you. I hope this information helps you. If you need anymore information on the vehicle or any of our vehicles you can contact me through this profile.

Q: What is the best air intake for a 2007 Silverado?
Okay, I’m a girl and I don’t know much about these things haha.
I can’t think of anything to get my boyfriend for Valentine’s Day, but he has mentioned he wants an air intake for his Silverado. I’m browsing the internet for these, but I don’t know which kind if the best.
Is K&N good? Or is there better?
Do you think he will appreciate this?
It’s a 2007 Chevy Silverado (new body, not the classic)
Also, how can I tell the engine size and if it is 1500 or 2500? Ugh I’m clueless…but I know it is a Z71 4×4 LT if that matters!
A: The K&N FIPK system really is the standard for performance to cost ratio. Since it isn’t an import your options are kinda limited on the air filter too. I personally wouldn’t want to put an injen or skunk filter or cold air intake on my truck if you know what i mean.
and yes he will appreciate it, I’d love to get one for valentines day.
keep in mind K&N cold air assemblies run about $250.
his truck is probably a 1500 extended cab with a 6.0L engine by the way. go to knfilters.com and search for his truck with the above criteria and pick up one of the FIPK kits for him, im sure he’ll love it
