like for what years, how much, where, engine size???

A: One (the main)reason I never bought a Silverado SS. They only came equiped w/ one set-up and that was as an ext. cab fleet side w/ the 6.0L. If, I remember correctly they started production of the SS in like 02-03.

Now if, you’re still interested you can check the auto trade.com. To see if, you can locate one close to you. Or just drive down to the Chevrolet stealership and see if, they have any in stock.

Q: Can you fit two Britax convertible carseats in a 2005 Chevy Silverado SS?
Three year old is behind the drivers seat in a Britax Decathlon, but plan on putting him in a Britax Regents and the one year old in the Decathlon in the middle. Is it safe. Seats in the back are not that big. They are maybe half a seat big and there isn’t that much room.

A: Its safe as long as they are in the seats, but it would probably be better if you could move the one yr. old over bhind the passenger. Its going to be uncomfortable but its possible to pull it off.

Q: Where do I find a super/magnacharger for a 2004 Chevy silverado SS?
Im saving up my money and I want to supercharge my 2004 chevy silverado SS. 1st of all, is it worth it? Or should I save up money after it and get like a 04 cobra svt or something. But if you think I should supercharge/magnacharge my SS please give me a link or place where I can buy it because I cant find a supercharger for it ANYWHERE

A: before sinking money on a supercharger, check out computer programing chips. I’ve heard people can get a lot of power by reprogramming the computer and you don’t want a new supercharger’s performance to be limited by factory computer settings. Q: Not sure if this is a true Silverado SS?
it’s a long stories , but I bought this truck from a police auction and they told me it was built from several trucks. It looks to be around a 2003 to a 2005 Silverado SS. But it has a crew cab. It has a 6.0 l engine, AWD, 20 inch wheels, leather seats , built in panasonic dvd player Bose sound system, all the bells and whistles you could imagine except I can’t find any other crew cabs, just extended cabs.

A: Most likely a crew cab with all the SS goodies installed. Chevy never built a CC SS, only a CC Denali.

Q: Is the chevy Silverado SS a quick truck?

A: It isn’t called “Super Sport” because of it’s cup holders…

by like taking the bumpers off and switching them and wutever else it would need to make it look like one?

A: Yea man, it’ll go on there.
Look for the new cowl induction hood too.

The bumpers from the GMC Yukon Denali look sweet on there too.

I would get the 1/2 ton unless you need the extra towing capabilities of the 3/4 ton – they ride like a brick. Unless you drop them and put the softer leafs on in the rear.

A: You have it right. What you’ll get is a little more power, very little power, and expensive power at that. Unless you replace the camshaft your not going to get any meaningful increase in power.

A: Not the truck as of this time. they do make a HHR, Cobalt, Impala, and Equinox.

Q: What drives better in the snow my honda accord with snow tires or my silverado ss 4 wheel drive w/stock tires?

A: the Chevy would do good with bad tires on it,any 4 wheel drive vehicle or all wheel drive vehicle will always go better than a 2 wheel drive will even if the other vehicle has chains on it,been there and done that before,and learned not to leave home in bad weather unless driving a 4 wheel drive ,good luck.

Q: What other parts will I need to upgrade on my 2003 Chevy Silverado SS with AWD if I get a supercharger???
I already have a Diablosports programmer, dual exhaust, and CAI. But once I get a supercharger I know I’ll have to upgrade my drivetrain to handle the extra power, but I’m still not sure what I will specifically need to buy or do to my engine and drivetrain after a supercharger. Also, what kind of price would I be looking at to get these upgrades done (not including the price of the supercharger)??? And I’ll definitely take the Diablosport programmer out of my truck and get it custom tuned, hahaha.

A: Well most of the supercharger manufactures design their systems around stock applications. So usually the more stock the vehicle is the better it will adapt onto your application.

When you start adding additional aftermarket parts along with the supercharger you have to make sure how well those parts will adapt to the supercharger. And a lot of times additional parts will throw off the tune that the supercharger comes with and from there you will have to get it custom tuned so that the air/fuel and timing ratio are correct.

Bacially the DiabloSport will have to be eliminated since the supercharger has it’s own tune. The only way you can use it is if you put it on a dyno and custom tune it for your application. Other than that you should just flash it back to stock and use the tune that comes with the supercharger.

The CAI also gets replaced with the supercharger. It will basically have it’s own intake and high flow air filter.

The exhaust most likely will compliment the supercharger system where you might see a slight increase in HP and Torque so this should be fine. It also will not require any custom tune beyond the supercharger. However if you add headers it may lean the engine out and you might need to custom tune your application.

Don’t get underdrive pulleys for it will underdrive the supercharger causing you to lose boost.

There is not much you need to do to your drivetrain since they do design the superchargers for stock applications. Usually it holds up pretty good.

The only thing I might recommend with the supercharger is a set of colder spark plugs which will cost around $60-$120, and if you want to squeeze the most power out of it put it on a dyno and get it custom tuned which can cost around $500-$900 more.

Other than that these supercharger systems are pretty complete.

Q: Chevy Silverado SS 2007 for teenager?
My youngest son is almost turning 16 and we were thinking of cars to get him. I wanted a truck because we live in the country and need a truck and i was wondering if a silverado ss is good for a teenager. He gets great grades and never does anything bad. He loves the car too but was wondering about the 2008 truck. Can you tow a lot with it?

A: To turn over a SS silverado to a 16 year old.Please rethink this very HARD.
