Q: Is it possible to change the interior color of a truck?
let’s say for example, i bought a 2001 chevy silverado 1500 LS ext. cab with a 5.3, console and medium gray interior with custom cloth seats. But I don’t like the seats and I want to modify the interior color. In other words I want to make the truck look like a Chevy Tahoe with medium gray and neutral color. How hard is it and how much money would be spent on this? I’m trying to make it into a two-tone color interior like the Suburban and Tahoe.

Cheapest way involves paint (for plastics), floor mats, and seat covers. Problem is, it’ll look cheap, too. You can do that for a couple hundred.
The best way would likely be to search junkyards, ebay, etc, for a wrecked Tahoe or Silverado with an interior that you like. Then buy the pieces that you want to change such as carpet, seats, doorpanels, etc, and start swapping them out. I’d recommend staying with a similar color scheme, or you’ll start getting into changing out the dash, painting the A pillars and other exposed metal, etc. Tricky work if you don’t know what you’re doing. Depending on how much of the interior you want to replace and whether or not you’re going to do the work, you could spend around $800 to $2000.
The easiest, but most expensive way would be to take it to a custom interior shop. Don’t know what that would cost.
