Q: Why do suburban women all drive SUV’s and have their cell phones pasted to their heads?
I moved from Chicago to a suburb called Lemont. Why is that every woman in this town drives an SUV and has a cell phone stuck their ear. And oh, if they’re (not necessarily attractive) blond, which most are, they drive a white SUV. It’s like the twilight zone around here. I moved out of the gangs into a different hell.

A: That sounds like Stepford. I don’t understand the present trend towards awful bleach jobs and gabbing on cell phones about drama that isn’t worth mention. Cry for the world, dear, southern California has been permitted to pollute past its borders. It’s even out here in New England. My guess is that it has something to do with Hollywood. Younger suburban women often seem to think that they are movie stars, and have adopted the same sense of entitlement. They expect that a bad bleach job, giant sunglasses, and a set of horse-sized veneers from Discount Dental entitles them to special dispensation when out of their house.

Q: What cars can accomomdate three infant / toddler car seats in 2nd row – NOT a minivan / super SUV(Suburban)??
I have an 18 month old and am having twins. We live downtown and do not want a mini-van or super SUV (such as Suburban or Yukon XL), does anyone know what car options we have? ideally, we would have all three babies / kids in the 2nd row (as 3rd row apparently is not as safe.) COuld the Pilot or VOlvo work??? Needs to comply with Canadian regulations.

Q: How to move a 60″ DLP TV for 5 miles in a SUV?
We would like to move our 60″ DLP TV about 5 miles in a SUV (Suburban). We don’t have a box. Should we lay it on its back with blankets around it or what? We could borrow a trailer if we really need to.

A: You need isolate the TV from being jarred. This is done inside a box using a lot of styrofoam. If you think your acceleration, braking, and corning will not be of significance due to your careful driving, then your primary concern is from bumps in the road. This concern can be alleviated by creating a soft bed to set your TV on. The bed could be styrofoam, foam bedding, or something very similar. I would have at least 4″ of the bedding to set the TV on.

GM is virtually giving these excellent vehicles away, financing is attractive, and I love these things….
Shimmy, it didn’t affect me when it was at $4+ a gallon. But what a great time to purchase a great American made vehicle.
Leavin’, I would but I already have 2. I only would “like” a new one and the time is right based on costs.
The new SUV’s get almost 20mpg. The engine shuts off cylinders on the freeway. Gas was over $5 in the marina’s last summer and I get just over 1mpg on the boat…..

A: Funny to me how everybody was blaming George Bush’s failed economic policies on $4.00 per gallon gas, thinking he actually had that much influence over the cost of oil on the global market. So now that the national average is below $1.70 are they going to THANK him? Or is Bush only to blame when things go bad, and never to thank when things improve?

A: Should cost the same as a regular Suburban LT. In most cases the Suburbans that are up fitted are the cheapest suburbans you can order then they send it off and have it up fitted. The up fit costs depending on whats done as little as $3000 and can go up to $8000 then the dealerships add markup to that. If you can get me the options and miles I should be able to give you a price on it.

What do you think of those pretty suburban housewives that drive SUV’s the size of a UPS truck? Do you think that they are evil people for driving around a vehicle they don’t need, polluting the earth to ridiculous degree? Or do you think they are worthless human beings who simply have kids, go shopping, and don’t contribute to society in any meaningful way except to be trophy wives to their shallow husbands? Or do you think they look cool and wish you could be them? What do you think of when you see these women?

A: Hi, You forgot to mention they are always on their cell phones and they drive like they own the world. How many times have you had them ride your bumper? They are terrible drivers, or maybe they think the road is only for them. No, I don’t want to be like them or drive what they drive.

A: You better check with the dealer. GM is starting to void all warranties if you do this and that is a fact.

It won’t crank or anything. She said the lights work.
MY question is, would that mess it up?

A: Unless she poured it somewhere other than the gas tank, it would not cause that problem. Have the battery tested or check the cables. The lights will come on, but there may not be enough cranking amps left to start the car. Turn on the headlights and try cranking the car, if they dim the starter is trying to engage. If they don’t the problem is elsewhere, ignition switch, neutral safety switch for starters.
