My F-150 runs fine and this is the first problem ive had with the heat. I thought the cab was heated by the engine, but when the heat is on only cold air comes out of the vents. Same with the defroster. My truck is entirely factory stock so it isnt something ive added to it. I need help its freakin cold outside!

I have a Gold F-150 2000. My costume is a ninja turtle and I need a little help with how to decorate my truck. A: I would use POR-15 to paint the frame as it comes in gloss black and a matt black and your frame will never rust with that stuff on it and stone chips will never happen as you can hit it with a hammer and it won’t chip or crack and water is perminately sealed out of the metal, it’s expensive ($34.) a quart but worth it.

A: have not worked on an F-150 my self but there are usually special tools needed to disconnect fuel lines that you can pick up at your local auto parts store depending on what kind it is. when you disconnect, watch out for the pressure in the line, might squirt everywhere. wear safety glasses.

to do a burnout you can put a little bit of used oil down and that will help the tires start to spin. And with the car same thing little bit of oil.
And that should get you burning the rubber off real quick

I have always enjoyed automatic transmissions but I prefer to manually shift into four wheel drive with a floor mounted gearshift as opposed to the dash mounted electronic selector switch as found on most new trucks. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to special order a new F-150 or other full size truck with a manual 4WD shifter?
A: Yes they did build a few with the manual shift transfer case but only on the bare bones XL trim level and almost any option package on that truck included an upgrade to the electronic shift transfer case so trucks equipped with the manual transfer case are rare. Personally I like the electric shift transfer case as it has been very trouble free. (I have owned 3 of the newer model electric shift transfer case trucks and NO problems).
Q: How to install a newer truck box (bed) on a 93 F-150?
OK, I have a F-150, the cab is in great shape, but the box is really rotted and rusty on the rear fenders. I’m planning on getting another box for it, but was wondering on exactly how to switch them. Things like tail lights and the gas doors (dual tanks). Even a reference to a how-to website. Doing it this way is around $800-$1000 cheaper than bringing the truck with the rotten box to the body repair shop.

Q: what causes the right front whell on my 2002 F-150 truck to stay engaged in 4 wheel drive when i turn it off?
Have a f-150 KR,2002 ,truck pulls to right when 4WD is turned off , had it to ford dealer and they said it is a design problem ford had on these, has there been a noyice sent out by ford to have this defect corrected.(RF stays engaged )and to unlock it I need to go in reverse to unlock it.
A: The locker inside the hub is getting stuck. If this is a design flaw and Ford is aware of this problem then they should fix it for you for free.
