Q: Is there a difference between the exhaust systems from the 2009 to the 2010 GMC Crew Cab Sierra SLE?
I was wanting to buy a magnaflow exhaust system and they are not specific about the 2010 to match the exhaust. If I bought a system that fit the same model but 2009 would it fit into the 2010 as well.
A: no they have the same exaust most changees to cars and trucks is cosmetic

Q: Is the GMC Sierra an “Old Man” truck?
Ok, I know this sounds like a stereotyping question, but my wife thinks a GMC Sierra is for old men. I am 27 years old, and I have always wanted a truck. I want a 2010 GMC Sierra 1500 4×4 Extended Cab probably the color Midnight blue.
She thinks the truck is just for old men, but I strongly disagree with her. WE have been arguing about it for a few months and we need a resolution.

A: I love the GMC Sierra, that’s the truck I want! I’m not even twenty yet, so I don’t think im considered old and im a girl. Does she have to drive it or is it for your use? If she has to drive it then I would understand her objections. Most women don’t like trucks that are awesome! lol. If she won’t drive it then I say it’s your dream truck and get it!

A: If you wanna keep up with the 6.2l your gonna need some work..
Heads, Cam, Intake manifold, Headers, Electric cutout, .. throw that “handheld tuner” away and get a proper tune at a dyno.. and that might put you close.. however theirs not much short of turbocharging the 4.8l and 5.3l motors to make them produce anywhere near 100hp per liter.. where as with the larger displacement motors their is more research and development to make them research 100hp per liter
Q: GMC Sierra new body style arriving in 2010 or 2011?
Does anyone know when they will change the body style of the GMC Sierra trucks? They changed to the “new” bodies (along with offering a classic model) in 2007, and I think they change the bodies every 3 or 4 years considering they changed the chevrolet models in 99, then in 2003, and then again in 2007. This would put it the body styles changing with the 2011 models, but i wanted to know if anyone knows when they will change it and if they have any spy shots of the new body style yet??
A: Word is the next generation full size trucks and SUVs have been delayed. They need to focus on small cars these days due to high gas prices.

A: Personally I’d go with the Ford. They are the most reliable on the road; so says Consumer Reports. I’d supply you a link to the Consumer report, although, you have to be a member to view it so that’s no help.

it’s a 1977 gmc sierra with a 454 with about 30k miles, has an edlebrock manifold rebuilt 700r4 tranny with a B and M shift kit new 12 bolt rear end 22′ lorenzo rims has air shocks in the rear a roll pan, interior i give it an 8 out of 10 it runs really strong has alot of power jus got all the gaskets replaced just did a full syntetic oil change has Ac registered till sep 2010

A: Dude I have seen that truck drivning down the road a few times, yea the wheels suck but the truck is clean and the only thing I really dont like about it is how it rides on the road, It bounces way to much which tells me that lowering kit makes the truck ride like a tank. So if it had a well installed DJM kit and better style rims, I would say it could get you about 5 grand or more if some one really wanted it. Me I would only offer you 2100 for it at the most on a good day

I have a 2009 Texas edition 5.3 liter GMC Sierra with the gmc 20′chrome wheels
its nice and gets lots of compliments but doesnt go fast i guess because of the limiter and tire sice idk really but i was wondering should i trade it in for a fully loaded 2ss 2010 Camaro im not sure because they both are luxurious but the truck can do work and hold space but then again the camaro is a beast thats fast and beautiful so any help please and thanks

A: Do what you want…just have the cash necessary to cover your negative equity (probably several thou by now) in that Sierra to make this trade happen.

A: I can’t seem to find the output on your factory stereo but you can most certainly keep your stock head unit. In all actuality most amplifiers that you buy come with a small kit that is called a “High Level Input”. All you have to do is disconnect, or better yet, use a cheater and run wires out of your back speaker. A somewhat short wire and some solder can get the speaker and cheater wire connected up quick! Connect these to the high level input and it will plug right into the amp! The amp will read the input as RCA’s. Quick and easy buddy! Hope this helps!

A: GMC for sure They have a wonderful interior and plenty of Duramax power also .They get better fuel economy than the other 2 and have a 5 year 100000 mile warranty .Oh and lets not forget the heavy duty Allison trannsmision .Dodge has had alot of trannsmission troubles .GMC

A: i would get a toyota tundra. we have a tundra crew max 4×4 sr5 and it tows our dump trailer full (about 12,000lbs) with ease. i bet it could tow more but thats all the trailer holds. it is alsoreally comfortable and has LOTSS of storage.the bed seems small but it is a wide truck so it actually has qutie a but of useable space. and dont forget about its bold looks
Q: Why doesn’t my new truck’s a/c blow as cold as my old one?
I bought a brand new 2010 GMC Sierra to replace my old 1992 Chevy Silverado. Both are just base model single cab trucks I use for my lawn business. Well using a thermometer, the 92 blows 10 degrees colder than the new one does. I took the truck to the dealer and complained, but they said everything is working properly. The 92 blows 35 degrees, and the 2010 blows 45 degrees. Anyone know why the newer models are like this, or if I just bought a crappy truck.
A: This could be a result of the refrigerant.The 1992 model,may have had an R12 system,whereas later models have R134a.R12 was more effective and certainly better,but due to legislation,R134a now has to be used.Less performing,yes,more enironmentally friendly,yes and certainly cheaper.
Q: Which 4 Door 4wd Truck would you suggest?
I am in the market for a full size truck (4 door and 4wd). I personally like the Dodge Ram, GMC Sierra and the Toyota Tundra Limited but Toyota isn’t doing to well right now. I’m open for any suggestions. I would like to stay around the 2008-2010 models.
A: The Tundra is subject to recall and has become notorious for premature frame corrosion. The Toyota myth is quickly being revealed for what it is.
There are inherent benefits to each of the top 3 trucks, F-150, GM (Sierra/Silverado), and the RAM. The RAM is a terrific truck, but the biggest challenge is that Chrysler’s fate is by no means secure. The best Chrysler can do is try to hemorrhage as little cash as possible until it has new products based upon FIAT platforms to sell with the hope that people will like them. At the moment, Chrysler sales are plummeting even lower than last year’s worst-ever results when virtually every other maker is improving hand-over-fist. You could quickly find yourself with a new truck and no warranty, and that’s not idle hyperbole.
The standard-bearer is the F-150, period. It’s the world’s most popular vehicle which means there will always be a plentiful supply of spare and replacement parts and a willing buyer at a reasonable price when you eventually decide to sell. When aftermarket companies make truck products, they make them for the F-150 first, because that’s where the business is.
Plus, considering that Ford has pulled itself up by its own bootstraps (starting some 3 years ahead of GM and Chrysler) without going bankrupt or needing a bailout, you don’t ever need to justify to yourself or anyone else why you were happy to support Ford instead of rewarding any other manufacturer by your willingness to buy their vehicles despite their irresponsibility and willingness to make better products only when it became too late.

Here goes :
1. I have been laid off from work for the last 11 months.
2. I work part-time doing some cleaning 3 x per week
3. My wife works Part-Time and goes to Nursing School Part-Time
4. We have a Mortgage Debt of $32,000 owing on a $110,000 home
5. We have small amount of Credit Card Debt = $1,351. Total
( $626 Lowes due by July 7 -2010 The other is $725 owing on a Visa
6. We owe a relative $5,301. for my wife’s Nursing Schooling
We own a Pick-up truck ( totally paid for – 1998 GMC Sierra ) and a car 1999 Buick Park Ave
( Totally paid for )
We only get $466 every two weeks from Unemployment, my wife gets approx. $280 every two weeks for CNA Nursing Part-Time and I get $255 after expenses for doing part-time cleaning every month.
We have a bi-weekly mortgage of $262 and so far we are barely hanging on.
Any suggestions, – I have been trying to get meaningful work, but no success so far. It is my first time in my life that I have ever been laid off – let alone for this length of time ( 11 months )……..
We are 48 ( me ) and my wife is 52.
We sold some land that we had to pay for over half of my wife’s Nursing School Tuiton.
Other than the obvious answer of myself to get a good paying job ( which would be answer to prayer ) any suggestions of any organizations that would be willing to help us to pay off my wife’s realative for her Nursing School Loan ? We have already received some grants ( $4,000 ) which we paid directly towards her tuition.
We are not asking for a hand-out – but rather a hand – up -
We don’t believe in Debt and want to get out of debt as soon as possible
Any sensible suggestions / ideas ( we don’t want those stupid home-based business ideas or those make a quick buck schemes )
So far we are hanging in there, but honestly it’s really hard when it’s been going on for over 11 months straight now.
