Q: Can the Nissan Armada SUV be towed with all four wheels on the ground behind a RV/Motorhome?

A: most of them can but you would need to check with your owners manual for instructions on towing.

Q: Anyone own a Nissan Armada or a Cadillac SRX Suv?
I am looking to purchase one of these two vehicles and I was going to see if there were any owners out there that had likes or dislikes with these cars? I want something safe and comfortable for my children. I have already been to the government safety sites, but I wanted first hand opinions from real owners. I really like roomy vehicles with space in the back seat. Thanks!!

A: I owned 2 SRX’s and a friend has an Armada which I have driven a few times. They are both safe vehicles, however they do drive differently.

The SRX is built on the CTS Sigma Chassis, which means it’s an SUV body built on a car. The Armada is a full size SUV on a truck chassis, the Titan.

Both have V8’s with the Nissan having 317hp and the SRX having the Northstar 320hp V8, although the SRX comes standard with a 255hp V6. You would want to compare the Armada LE model to the SRX in order to get the leather, heated seats, and memory seating which is standard on the SRX.

Basically, the SRX has a smoother ride with an even power delivery. The 3rd row is pretty much useless, but the Ultra-View sunroof in a great option. This is a good choice and is a solid car, however Cadillac is coming out with a new SRX for 2010, which could effect the resale value, but if you keep it 4 or more years, then it won’t matter.

The Armada is a powerful SUV that has great interior room like the first 2 rows of the SRX, however the Armada seems easier to get in and out of. It is also exactly 1 foot longer than the SRX.

They are both good vehicles and respectible in their individual classes. Good luck and I hope this helps.

Q: Is the Nissan Armada LE a powerful SUV? Is it reliable? How is it on the snow and Ice?

A: The Nissan Armada LE has a very powerful 5.6 Liter V-8 engine that produces 317 horsepower, so yes it is powerful. It is also very big. Nissan makes fairly reliable vehicles. According to Consumer Reports it is rated poor in reliability and below average in buyer satisfaction, but rates well in other categories. It has seating for 8, a smooth powerful engine but it is noisy, and a fast shifting transmission. It has very responsive handling but a stiff ride. 2007 and older have bland interiors, but 08’s are a new model and are much better. Lots of cargo space and towing ability.
As far as being good in the snow and ice it depends a lot upon which model you get, the Armada LE is available in both RWD (rear wheel drive) which handles extremely poorly in the snow, or 4 wheel drive which handles incredibly well in the snow. Both models get very bad gas mileage.
All in all, the 08 Armade LE is good in snow if it has 4 wheel drive, is very powerful, and is cool, but has very low reliability ratings and gets horrible gas mileage. In my opinion there are better options for that size and price range of vehicles.
Good Luck hope this info helps!

Q: Why does a 2008 Cadillac Escalade (SUV) cost way more than a 2008 Nissan Armada?
My y dad wants to buy a new SUV, and he really likes the Cadillac but he cant understand why it costs about $60,000 when a Armada costs about 40,000. The cadillac is more roomier than the nissan. They both have good luxury in the inside, and look good at the outside. The Nissan back seats can fold! Unlike the Escalade. What makes it cost so much??????

A: Because it’s a Cadillac. There so much better than a Nissan any day of the week. Why you would want a useless SUV is a bigger question and spending $40,000 to 60,000 ion it is really something you need to think about.

Q: What SUV is better Range Rover, Lr3, Nissan Armada, or Infiniti Qx56 for Off-Road use?
Pick in order from best to worst? Out of these four.

A: Very few of these “luxury” SUV’s actually have anything to do with either “Sport” or “Utility” anymore. They’re overblown tanks for soccer-moms to drive that are large enough for them to drive too slowly in the wrong lane without other drivers being able to retaliate appropriately.

Nevertheless, the only brand with any REAL “off road” chops is Rover. All of the rest are just fancy suburban passenger trucks and one is just as indistinguishable from any of the others. Even as pimped as an Escalade may be, it actually has authentic truck in its DNA.

With Range Rover costing so much, there’s no way I’d take it off road. And if I could afford to, I wouldn’t be spending my time soliciting opinions about it on Yahoo Answers. That leaves the LR3 as my first choice with the Range Rover being second. Beyond them, I’d forget the other models and go with Ford, a company whose vehicles actually spend a lot of their time being driven and used by their owners according to the actual purpose for which they were designed.

Best of luck. I hope this helps.

Q: Which is a better SUV to purchase between the Nissan Armada, GMC Yukon, Chevrolet Tahoe or Suburban?

A: A lot of factors would have to go into answering that question properly, mostly what is important to you?

You will probably get a mucher better deal on the American vehicles if you are buying, but might get a really great lease deal on the Nissan. Nissan is very agressive right now and I have gotten some awesome deals on Nissan’s over the past few months.

You need to shop them all and then determine which has the best deal. The numbers change all the time.

Since today is the last day of the month, I would advise getting out and do some shopping today. You might save yourself a lot of money by getting something today.

Q: My family is shopping for a new SUV. Which one is better: the Nissan Armada or the Infiniti Qx56?

A: They are the same car. It’s just a matter of taste at this point and to a lesser extent, price. The QX56 just has nicer trim and most likely more available amenities. Its essentially the same argument on whether or not to buy a Ford Crown Victoria sedan or a Lincoln Town Car, which although are the exact same car contrast greatly on interior and available features.

Q: What is your favorite new SUV on the market today?
If you didn’t have to worry about gas prices, that is.

Which is your favorite? The Tahoe, MDX, Armada, etc?

A: 2010 Audi Q7
The bronze/gold color

Q: Should I Get A Nissan Armada?
I saw a brand-new 2006 Nissan Armada in a Nissan showroom yesterday, Majestic Blue with Graphite Leather. I’m an SUV person, I’ve owned an Escalade, Yukon Denali, Expedition, and I’ve bought a new Navigator every model year. Okay, back to the Armada. Inside, it had every option on the Armada, according to Thomas, the salesman. Except, it DID have a hefty price tag, at $45,675. But still, it would be the cheapest SUV I’ve ever owned.
Should I get it?

A: no, buy something domestic

Q: What kind of SUV should i get?
Let me first start with, it is a hassle to get two booster seats and a regular carseat to fit comfortably and safely in the backseat of an Altima. So i need a more spacious vehicle. I absolutely LOVE Nissan Armadas, but not a fan of Suburbans or the Ford SUV’s. I make $16/hour so i’m on a budget. What would be a reasonable and spacious SUV? Details/pros&cons/personal opinions? Thank you so much guys.

A: look for something used. I used the auto section on the yahoo home page and searched for used SUV’s and also go on to local car dealerships websites and you can look at their used selection. My wife and i just bought a 2006 dodge durango SLT. it had 15,000 miles on it, we got it for $16,000. I love it. It is in AWD with the option to switch to 4×4 and 4×4 low, it has the hemi engine 350 horses but it cuts down to a V-6 to save gas. I have gotten 20 mpg’s on the highway with 6 people in it and all the camping gear for a 7 day trip. and it has the 3rd row seating. So i would reccomend looking for something like that.

Q: Why are there so many SUV’s in Florida?
I have lived in a few places during my adult life and simply cannot figure out why Florida has such a high ratio of SUV’s. There isn’t a mountain in the state. Not even close. wouldn’t folks rather have a vehicle that performs better and handles the road well? Like a car? I don’t know about you but I like to drive. I don’t want to be bogged down by a poor performance vehicle like an SUV. Especially in Florida. And with gas prices being so high, I can’t figure out the appeal of an SUV down here. Especially when you are using much more gas as a result of constantly running your air conditioner. And the size of these SUV’s is wack. You see Armada’s, Expeditions, Suburbans, Escalades, etc. All over the Tampa Bay area. Maybe it is a status thing. Flaunting status down here is much more common than where I came from in the Milwaukee area. What do YOU think about this issue?
Hambone’s explanation of the tourist state thing makes alot of sense. But I see these vehicles with Florida plates. And many are commuters.

A: its a big vacation state. and people carry a lot of things.

Q: Nissan Armada’s rear tires have inward camber?
My sister’s 2004 Armada has about a 1 inch camber. When sitting behind the SUV the tires look like this / .

What could cause this problem?

A: Some vehicles with independent rear suspension are made with negative camber like that.It improves the cornering stability. If it’s too far out of range it may be from the car squatting too low from weight. It can be adjusted if it’s a problem.

Q: What do you think is better a Tahoe or Armada……?
I’M IN THE MARKET OF BUYING A NEW SUV, WHICH ONE DO YOU THINK IS A BETER BUY?

A: Armada is better it looks that they r the same price and the same performance, but i bleave in Nissan more than chevy

Q: Looking for a reliable suv!?
I’m looking for a used suv that seats six people comfortably(we have 4 kids). I’m looking at the bigger ones like Ford Expedition, Nissan Armada etc…. My question is what suv is the safer more reliable one and better priced?

A: Both are nice. Also the chevy traverse is supposed to be really nice so you could look into that. I like Fords so i would take the expedition but the nissan may be more reliable

Q: SUV question…..any idea?
i wanna know which of the following SUV has the best people’s/owner’s review, because i am planning to have one…….

a. Ford Expedition
b. Nissan Armada
c. Chevy Tahoe
d. GMC Yukon (not denali series)
e. Toyota Sequioa

All on their basic trim models only without upgrades.

Serious answers please… thank you!

A: personally i tried the Ford & the Nissan
they both suck..
i have the Hummer H3 ..its a great car to own
