Q: Is the 2010 Subaru Outback a good car?
I was looking into the 2010 Limited Outback, but was wondering if anyone knew of any other cars. I also want to know your expierence if you have drove or own one. Any other car suggestions are welcome. Even previous owners tell me your expierence with your Subaru.
A: I’ve never personally had an outback, but my next car will be a Forester. My friend had an outback for years. And he absolutely loved it. He was devastated when he had to sell it due to the economy.
Q: Can a 2010 Subaru Outback take 3 child car seats?
My wife and I are expecting twins, and we’re considering buying a new Outback. Does anyone know if we can get 3 child seats into the back seat of the Outback? Thanks you!
A: It is not recommended for you to install a child seat in the center seat. It may lack the lower latch. The design may have changed or the manual may be wrong so check directly with Subaru.
Q: where can I find performance parts for my 2010 subaru outback?
I just bought a new outback yesterday and I am interested in finding perfomance parts. I have checked many sites and most parts are for the other subaru models. I would like add a little extra to the performance. It has the 2.5 H4 engine
A: You won’t find a lot. Rallitek has some catback’s and I’m sure there are some replacement air filters like K&N. There isn’t really a lot of power to be gained from bolt on parts on your car. The factory cold air intake is pretty good to begin with and a cat back might give another 5 horsepower of so. Some springs like these http://www.perrinperformance.com/products/show/422/Sport-Springs-H-R-08-Impreza-WRX-STI?category=74&model=32 and a set of sway bars like these http://www.perrinperformance.com/products/list?category=8&model=32 will really firm up the ride and be money better spent in my opinion. Also a short shifter and bushings like these http://www2.kartboy.com/x4/product.php?productid=16174&cat=262&bestseller=Y would be real nice too. (I realize it says WRX but they use the same one)
Q: Should I trade my 2010 subaru outback sport in for a 2008 subaru wrx?
I just purchased the outback sport(new), however, I am looking for something with a little more power. I figured id get very close appraisal for both cars, so im looking at a pretty even trade. Is there any big issues with the 2008 wrx that I should know about?
A: Yes you should. And no, there are no real big issues with the 2008 WRX. Well besides for the fact that it is a complete different beast then the outback, and that you should be prepared to have the time of your life driving it.
Q: I just bought a 2010 subaru outback. How long can I expect it to last without any problems and repairs?
I drive about 1000 to 1200 miles a month and the only maintenance i get done is oil change and once a month i check tire pressure. I do not ever open the hood to see coolant or oil level.
With such lifestyle, how long can i expect it to last?
A: Im pretty sure you got some warranty on it. If I were you, anything that comes up, I would make them fix it asap. As for how long it’s going to last Is a matter of how you take care of and maintenance it. Also, it’s luck. Some people can treat their cars like babies and still have problems. But for now, you should be fine.
Q: Where can I get a 2010 Subaru Outback Sport body kit?
i noticed that the 2010 sti is a couple inches wider, so i already know that that wont work.
also, ive checked the regular sites, as well as the garage, and no one can seem to find me anything. anything helpful you say is great.
maybe parts just havent come out yet, if you know let me know.
p.s. im looking for a full kit, front/rear bumpers and side skirts.
thanks!
A: Only the bottom of the front bumper is a little different, the rest of the panels are the same as all the other Impreza’s. From 08, they just started painting the bottom of the panels a different color to differentiate them but there is no “kit” to purchase. If you are talking about the OEM lip kit, then the ones for the WRX should fit but you will have to check with the dealer.
Q: How do you like the 2010 Subaru Outback?
If you own one, which model do you own and; how is it’s handling and performance?
If you have driven it in the snow, sleet, rain or off road, how does it perform?
A: Bought a 2010 Legacy 2.5i Premium Christmas Eve, which is the same as the Outback just as a Sedan and not lifted up.
So far it’s been great. No complaints whatsoever. As far as Snow/Sleet/etc? Are you kidding? It’s a Subaru!! The AWD system on these is amazing, they truly go like tanks. We’ve had quite a bit of snow here in WV the past few weeks, that coupled with the hills/mountains are here, we’ve had plenty of chances to test it out
.
Q: Are there any after market performance parts for a 2010 four cylinder Subaru Outback?
I literally have own this 2010 Outback for less than 30hrs. Unfortunately in California there is no “cooling off period” so I can’t return it for the six cylinder. Needless to say I’m now realizing this new car is way too powerless for me and since I’m stuck with this, I was wondering if there are any reliable turbo or supercharge kits for this thing?
Thanks!
A: If you wanted a performance car, you should have bought a performance car. Subaru makes some gnarly little AWD pocket rockets. However, now that you’re here, try this: Take it back RIGHT NOW, and tell them you want the more expensive turbocharged four cylinder (better than the six; more HP and more torque). Since they’ll get more money out of you for that, they might swing something.
Be prepared, however, to pay a price. The Outback you’ve bought is now a used car. Hey, if you can find a friend to walk in with you and buy it, knowing the situation, perhaps it won’t cost you too much. And, just so you know, while that Outback isn’t a racer, it’s a great car. My wife has a 2008 and we love it. I have a 1997 I bought new and love it. Oh, my icon? That’s me in my 2005 Porsche 911 Turbo S (444 HP) … just racing in the rain.
Q: What do you think of the 2010 Subaru Impreza Outback sport?
Do you consider it to be a good all around car?
A: I wouldn’t buy one over a standard Impreza hatchback unless you really need the extra bit of ground clearance.
Q: Does anyone know when the 2010 Subaru Outback should be available for sale?
A: In one millllllllllllion years
.
Q: Would you rather have a 2010 VW Golf or a 2010 Subaru Impreza outback sport and why?
You forgot the part of the question were i said “and why”
A: Neither…..My choice would be either the ford fusion or if thats price too high for you go with the focus. Much better cars !!!
Q: 2010 Subaru Outback 3.6R Limited AWD system vs. 2010 Subaru Forester XT Limited AWD system?
So the Subaru Outback 3.6R Limited uses a AWD system with a 45/55 front-to-rear power split? Can anyone explain both systems in more depth? All I know is that the Subaru Forester XT Limited AWD system is different from the Outback’s system.
Or does anyone have a website explaining both systems in more depth?
A: According to Subaru they all use the symmetrical all-wheel drive system.

Q: Do the 2010 subaru outback will be avaiable on sedan?
A: I don’t think so. From what I hear, it will be the same as the current model with the Legacy being a sedan and the outback being the wagon form.
Q: 2010 Nissan Xterra or 2010 Subaru Outback?
I really like both of these vehicles but dont know which one to get. Which one do you think is better and why.
A: it depends – do you really need off road capability, or just a bad weather car? If you want/need to go off road, the Xterra is suitable for that since it is a truck, the Outback is not a truck, it’s a car/crossover (you could call it a “soft” roader). If you don’t plan to go off road, the Outback is a little cheaper, will ride/handle better and get better mileage on the street.
Both good vehicles, but have somewhat different roles – what do you really need?
Q: I hear the 2011 subaru outback debuts in July. Would I get a better deal on a 2010 outback in July ?
or would i need to wait until October?
A: when the 2011 cars are in the showroom
