It does not have the spin on filter but and element filter. I know I have to take the skid plate off.

A: no no dont do it,you need a special tool for this by toyota,weve tried other oil filter cup tools and they would work once or twice then it would just spin as the tool wears out,if you use a filter tool like a channel lock this can crack the housing(aluminum)and cost you big,you might even have to wait for the part,,,what i would do if you really want to do it yourself is go borrow it from a toyota tech,offer hi mmoney and leave him with something to make shure you will come back or better yet pay him to come to your place and get it loose,all you need is a regular extention to tighten it up from the middle afterward,,

A: Toyota has not mentioned any Diesel engine for the 2010 model of Tundra trucks yet. I do work for a Toyota dealership as a Fleet Manager. The Crew Max now has a towing capcity of 10,400 lbs with the 5.7 liter engine with 381 horsepower and 401 ft lbs of torque. Toyota now can out tow, out brake and out run any of it’s compitions except those 2500 and 3500 series truck with diesel engines for towing. Also it will hold it’s resale value better than the domestic trucks.

problem is so rediculouse people use pool noodle to hold the thing together. it is not for a joke, its actually what the people do. it doesnt fix the problem, just prevents the box from scratching up the cab while driving down the freeway.

frame rot is already on well maintained 2007 trucks. toyota owners are complaining as they are not yet covered. in 3 years time it will occur on the 2010 aswell. no changes have been made. same poor material.

manual warns to remove tailgate before loading anything in truck bed. also says not to drive with tailgate down. the cables supporting its own weight causes it to buckle.

Q: How can I get the stereo to refresh my USB drive songs? (2010 Toyota Tundra)?
I had about 2 GB of songs on a USB drive that I have been playing through my 2010 Tundra USB port. I have added songs to the thumb drive but the stereo won’t “refresh” the list of songs to recognize the new songs. Help?
I have taken out the drive and put it back into the stereo. The stereo starts back with the same song that was playing when I removed the drive. Originally I pulled and plugged the drive in while the vehicle was off. Then I tried removing and plugging back in while the stereo was on — same thing — it just picked up playing the song that was playing before I removed the drive.
All the songs are MP3.
A: I’m assuming you’ve pulled the Drive and put it back in while the Truck is on and off?

A: Both are very well built, my brother has owned a Tundra since early ‘08 when he purchased it new, and already has nearly 50k miles on it, including farm use, HEAVY towing (26′ Big Game fishing boat on weekends, livestock trailers during the week) and has had no problems.
My uncle owns a 2009 Mustang, which has little mechanical difference from the 2010 model, and has had no issues.
Which is better will depend entirely upon what you need it to do. If you need towing ability and an open cargo space, the Tundra will obviously be better for you. If cargo capacity isn’t important, the Mustang will ride better and get a few more mpg over the Tundra.

A: lets see, the tundra is the ugliest truck ive ever seen. there is a little piece of plastic above the grill that wiggles around, really toyota? wtf. the raptor is supposed to be an offroad truck, tundra is onroad truck. you cant really compare the two. but if i were to get a new truck, i would probably get the 2009-2010 dodge ram 1500
